This year, Planet Fitness proudly teamed up with Bully Zero, Australia’s leading bullying prevention organisation, to launch a powerful multi-year partnership built on kindness, community, and creating real change.
And now… it’s time to turn those good vibes into kilometres.
Introducing the Purple Power Walk
From Monday 11 August to Sunday 17 August, we’re inviting all Planet Fitness members and the wider community to join us for the first-ever Purple Power Walk during National Bullying Prevention Week in Australia. Together, we’re aiming to walk or run 100,000 kilometres on our treadmills across the country to raise awareness, build community, and stand up to bullying.
Danielle Monroy, Managing Director of Planet Fitness Australia says “We’re proud to partner with Bully Zero to take real action on something that matters; creating safer, more inclusive communities where everyone feels they belong. The Purple Power Walk is our first step together, a chance to show up, stand together, and walk for the 1 in 4 young Australians affected by bullying. If you’re near a Planet Fitness club, drop in and walk with us. However far you go, every step counts toward creating impact that really matters.”
Why purple? It’s the official colour of the anti-bullying movement. Why walk? Because 1 in 4 young Australians experience bullying every few weeks or more often 1, and we’re not okay with that.
