Frequently Asked Questions
Your membership can be cancelled the following three ways:
In person at your home club (the fastest method).
Via letter sent to your home club with your name as it appears on your membership, your contact information (email/phone), your reason for cancelling, and your written signature.
Via email sent to your home club’s direct email address with your full name as it appears on your membership, your contact information, and your reason for cancelling. The email you send from must be the email you used to sign up with.
All we need is 7 days’ notice for cancellation. Please note, for customers on a Classic 12 Month contract cancelling within the contract period, an Early Termination Fee of $99 applies.

Our staffed hours may differ per club. Our standard staffed hours are Monday to Friday 5:00am to 10:00pm, and Saturday to Sunday 7:00am to 7:00pm. At PF Tamworth our staffed hours are Monday to Wednesday 5:00am to 10pm, Thursday to Friday 5:00am to 9:00pm and Saturday to Sunday 7:00am to 5:00pm.
You can transfer your membership over the phone or in-club by a team member.
Your local club is the best place to go for help with any billing-related issues (including requesting refunds). Or, you can update your billing information or review your membership agreement online.
Annual fees are billed to a member once per year, as long as you remain a member. Your billing date is dependent on your join date. The annual fee is billed on or around eight weeks after your join date. A staff member at your club can help you determine when your annual fee date is.
We offer PE@PF – a series of focused fitness training sessions led by certified fitness instructors that are designed to help members get familiar with the equipment and build an individual workout plan to follow at their own pace. PE@PF sessions are done in small groups, free to our members, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage people to sign up in advance through your member portal or in club, as they fill up quickly! You can find our PE@PF class schedules on the web page for your club (search for your club here), or at the front desk in your club.
All members can enjoy free and unlimited access to our certified trainers. Through our Program Design service, you can work one-on-one with a trainer to create a unique exercise program completely tailored to your fitness goals.
You can downgrade or upgrade your membership simply by heading into the club and asking for assistance from a staff member.
That one is easy! Click here. Use your email address which you used to signup with and if you have not been issued a password, simply click forgot password to reset.
We require your credit card details when you sign up. This one-time payment covers your Join Fee and Prorated Membership Fees to catch you up to the start of our fortnightly billing cycle.
We require a BSB and account number for recurring payment. Your Weekly Membership Fee will be debited every other Thursday and could include an EzyPay Fee. Your Annual Fee will be debited once a year on or around 8 weeks after your join date, as long as you remain a member.
The minimum age for a Planet Fitness membership is 15 years old with parental/guardian permission and the minimum age for a Black Card membership is 16 with parental/guardian permission. 15 year olds are only permitted to sign up to the Classic memberships. As per our policy, Black Card® members can bring guests from 13 years old, but they must be supervised by a parent/guardian and have a consent form signed and submitted.
In order to keep our membership cost conveniently low, we do not offer childcare services. And for the safety of children under the age of 13, we do not allow them in club. We do try to keep our clubs open as long as possible to accommodate all schedules. Check with your local club for their hours.
We’re all for people expressing themselves, but do ask that clothing that may be perceived as intimidating, revealing, or offensive not be worn in the club. We also do not allow clothing that may present safety hazards or damage equipment. Examples of clothing that is not allowed include:

Open-toed shoes or sandals

Mud-caked, greasy, or soiled shoes or clothing

Jeans or pants with prominent grommets

Clothing with messaging that a reasonable person may find offensive or otherwise inappropriate
As a PF Black Card® member, you can bring a guest every time you train, during staffed hours only (you can choose to bring the same guest each time).
Guests only have access to the gym floor and equipment, and not the Black Card Spa, classes or personalised program design.
PF Black Card® members may bring guests age 13 years and up. A parent/legal guardian form must be signed at the front desk for all minors.
