Thumbs Up for Dale’s 100k Mission
Delacombe member, Dale Pierce, has taken on one big feat this week by running 100km in just one day for the 100K Your Way Vision Australia challenge.
He has been a member at our new Delacombe club since the beginning of the year and decided to carry out the challenge on a treadmill, commencing at midnight.
Dale says “My life has transformed dramatically in the last two years. At age 47, I was faced with a life-changing diagnosis of bilateral central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). This left me with no sight in my left eye (since replaced with a prosthetic) and 40% blurry vision in my right.”
“I have an amazing team around me and the Planet team is now part of that. I will be a regular so if you see me please say hi. We did it. 100km in a day.”
Congratulations Dale. We are so inspired and proud of you.
