Spray tanning at Planet Fitness is a PF Black Card® Spa perk that gives eligible members access to one free private spray tan every week. The experience happens inside a private VersaSpa spray tan booth, so you can get your glow in-club without booking a separate salon appointment.
How Does the VersaSpa Spray Tan Booth Work?
Planet Fitness uses the Versa Spa spray tan booth for private spray tanning at all Planet Fitness locations across Australia.
The VersaSpa booth is an automated spray tan booth designed to apply tanning solution evenly while giving you privacy throughout your session. Instead of a person applying the tan by hand, the booth uses guided spray technology to deliver the solution as you move through a series of simple positions.
The booth includes written instructions and audio prompts that guide you through each stage of the session, including when to turn and how to position your body. This helps the tanning solution reach different areas more evenly, while keeping the process simple for first-time users.
The experience is designed to be simple, even if you have never had a spray tan before. You do not need someone else to apply it for you, and you do not need to turn it into a full salon appointment.
If you are unsure what to do, just ask the team before your session. They can explain the process, talk you through the booth and help you feel comfortable before you start.
What’s Included: One Private Spray Tan Every Week
A standalone spray tan can normally set you back $35 or more per session. But as a PF Black Card® member, you can enjoy one free private spray tan every single week.
That is up to 52 spray tans a year, included in your membership. Whether you use it every week or save it for when you actually need a glow, the option is always there. No booking ahead or extra cost. It is private, convenient and designed to fit around the gym visit you are already making.
You can use the booth during staffed hours, subject to availability. If it is your first time, speak to the team at the front counter. They can explain how the spray tan booth works, check availability and help you get started.
Should You Work Out Before or After a Spray Tan?
If you are planning on working out and tanning in the same visit, we ask that members train first, and spray tan after.
This is because sweating too soon can affect the result, and fresh spray tan solution may transfer onto gym equipment, clothing or towels.
If you work out first, you will achieve best results by showering after your workout, then heading to the booths once your body has cooled down and is dry.
After your spray tan, try to avoid sweating, showering or getting wet for the recommended development time. Follow the instructions provided in-club and ask the team if you are unsure.

HOW TO USE SPRAY TANNING AT PLANET FITNESS IN 3 EASY STEPS

Step 1: Check in
with the teamVisit during staffed hours and speak to the team at the front counter. They can check availability, explain how the Versa Spa spray tan booth works and help you get started.

Step 2: Prep and
start your sessionOnce you are in the private spray tan room, remove clothing and jewellery, put on a hairnet, and apply blending cream to areas such as your hands, feet and nails.
The booth includes written and audio instructions to guide you through next steps. Close your eyes while the tanning solution is being sprayed and follow each prompt until your session is complete.

Step 3: Wipe, wait
and glowAfter your session, step out onto the mat and use the wipes provided to clean your palms and nails. Wait the recommended development time before showering, swimming, working out or getting wet.
For best results, wear loose clothing after your spray tan and keep your skin moisturised.
